Q&A

Name of my dog:

Cooper

What I love doing with Cooper:

Playing fetch! Even though no one taught him, he somehow figured it out. He always brings the ball—or his favorite frog toy—back to me. He’s had that toy forever.

Favorite food:

Sushi

My favorite dish my mom makes:A Filipino dish called tortang talong—it has egg and eggplant. It’s really comforting and reminds me of home.

Most memorable place I’ve traveled to:

Barcelona, Spain. I was especially amazed by the Sagrada Familia. It was so detailed, and I was surprised it’s still being built after so many years. There was something written in every language, and I saw a documentary later explaining how each part has its own meaning.

My strengths:

I'm friendly and open up easily. I get along with people from different backgrounds.

My challenges:

I get interested in many things quickly, so sometimes it’s hard to stick to just one or make decisions right away.

Favorite artists:

Queen and Bruno Mars (my first concert!). I try to listen to all genres of music.

Favorite songs:

“Killer Queen” – I even learned the guitar solo!
“Treasure” by Bruno Mars – it’s fun and upbeat.

Why I tried Broadway:

I’ve always been interested in musical theater, and I wanted to try something outside of school. The opportunity was in New York—the home of Broadway—and I even got to meet one of the professional performers in Boop! We performed in a really beautiful theater that had posters of famous actors, including Tom Hanks. It was an unforgettable experience.

Sports I enjoy:

Martial arts like Muay Thai
Golf (just for fun!)

Goals for high school:

To challenge myself academically, join a music or theater club, and explore new interests like psychology or debate.

Dream for the future:

To work in the creative arts and do something combining music and travel.

Something I want to try next:

Join a band, volunteer more with animals, and learn a new language.
